Captain Asshole // Wes Hoffman and friends
Captain Asshole
Seit ihrem Debütalbum What An Awful Life (2019)
Mit ihrem zweiten Album Successfully Not Giving
mit Legenden wie Me First and the Gimme Gimmes und den Bouncing Souls.

Wes Hoffman and friends
Wes Hoffman and Friends return with their new full-length album For The Better, out October 2 via SBÄM Records. Following their 2024 debut How It Should Be, the record sees Wes and his band sharpen their blend of melodic punk, Midwest pop-punk and heart-on-sleeve songwriting into their most focused release yet.
The album has already been previewed by a string of singles, including “Better Than We Think” and “Hold Me Down”. “Better Than We Think” captures the band’s ability to balance tension and hope, pairing an emotionally charged story about a relationship on the brink with the big hooks and catchy choruses that have become a trademark of Wes Hoffman’s songwriting. “Hold Me Down”, meanwhile, continues that thread of resilience and vulnerability, delivering another dose of melodic punk energy without losing sight of the emotional core.
With For The Better, Hoffman and his now solidified lineup of Jacob Boyd, Luca Torretta and Hes Retnu build on the foundation of their debut while sounding more confident, direct and cohesive than ever. Recorded with Gabe Usery at Encapsulated Studios, mixed by A Wilhelm Scream’s Trevor Reilly and mastered by Joe Reilly, the album combines raw punk urgency with polished melodic instincts.
For The Better is out October 2 on SBÄM Records.
